Hi! What should an employer do with an employee who has TB?

What legal responsibilities exist? Inform all staff? Send the employee home? Does it matter if the TB is dormant or active?

You should require the employee to stay home until he or she brings in a note from their doctor clarifying the status of the employee's illness and whether it's contagious.

No, you should not inform all the staff. You do NOT broadcast an employee's personal business or medical status to other employees.
