I moved out of my apartment on December 31, 2006 and still have not recieved a word back from my landlord. I gave him a written address with the keys, an emailed copy he confirmed he got, and a third notice the middle of the month. How long legally does he have to get my money back to me and what can I do if he ignores me?

Also, I left the lease early, and was going to sublease, but he said it would be cleaner if he just wrote a new lease for her. So I agreed and gave the tenets deposit back to her. This landlord is a different landlord then I signed the lease with and I'm worried he's going to screw me over. He didn't care when I had mice, didn't fix the light in my kitchen, and I had a toilet running for 3 weeks. I'm worried he will blame damage that was previously in the unit on me, but he still has not sent me a list of what hes charging me for.
