I get paid for eight hours from 4pm to 12am, but i am expected to be in roll call at 3:50 pm or it is held against me as being late for roll call. in addition, routinely i can't leave work until all items are account for by the oncoming shift so i don't get out until 12:10 am. thats a total of 20 minutes more than 8 hours that i do not get paid which totals 3 hours and 20 minutes more a pay period. they fix the punch every day so it totals only 8 is this legal. 17 years of back pay would be great.

You won't get 17 years of back pay. Three at the most.
