I've lived in the same apt for almost 2 years. The first year was fine, but this last year, the landlord keeps sending me notes through my door "If you don't do (fill in the blank) consider this your 30 day notice of eviction." The reasons range from stupid (my little boy left his muddy bike by the front door rather than ruin the carpet) to being late for rent 2 months in a row <by less than 5 days>. In the past 6 months I've gotten 10 of these!! I know that I'm not the perfect tenant, but aside from the late payment on the rent, I don't see any complaints. I've never had the cops called on me, never had any neighbors complain about me....I'm pretty quite and keep to myself.
