I can not find any information at all about this so I was wanting to know if anyone had any info on this.

I was laid off on 1/5/07. I got a six week severance package. Am I allowed to file for unemployment and get payments during this severance package time frame?

Thanks
Andy

Yes you can file you may not be able to collect until severance is exhausted.

You can file, but you must claim any monies recieved, when they ask, then when you are not getting any more, your waiting week begins, and then you recieve weekly checks, until you exhaust your unemployment, or you get another job, which ever comes first.
