I work for a company that's had some major payroll issues as of late (and lucky me, I'm the payroll person). Right now, we have a payroll scheduled for Friday and not enough money to pay everyone. The current plan is to pay SOME of the employees - the lowest paid ones, and the ones who just threatened to quit when they heard about not getting paid - but the rest of us will maybe get a $50 advance, if there's any money left.
I keep trying to stress how wrong that is, but no one seems to be listening to me. I'm tempted to just say screw it and complain about not getting paid until I get my check, but what will that really help?
Any thoughts on what to do? I'd like to file a complaint, but I don't really want to implicate myself (would that happen?).
