My employer has posted a notice that we will be charged five dollars each time we lose our name tags which we are required to wear. We work in an industry where we are constantly lifting and pushing heavy items and so the tags can be bent or pushed off before we have noticed. Also we have to further strain the attaching pins by removing them to return our uniform jackets each day. It seems to us that if the name tag comes off it is because of inadequate equipment. We are not required to pay for buttons that come off our jackets at work. We feel that this item must, as a part of the uniform bearing the company logo, be replaced free by state law. Would you agree?
