Yesterday I received a call from my landlord saying that he wishes to void the lease we signed last year for five years with an option to purchase the property for $100,000 at the end of this time. Can he do this? Isn't the lease we signed binding? There is no clause that I can see in my contract that talks about voiding the contract. My payments have been on time and there has been no violations of the lease. What rights do I have?

You really need to take the agreement that you signed to a local attorney for review. No one here can comment on something they haven't read, and I don't think anyone here is from Louisiana and knows the applicable law.
