I was scheduled to work a four hour shift. Around the second hour, my supervisor told me that, because there was nothing to do, she couldn't keep me on the clock. She told me to clock out and return to work in approximately one hour.

It seemed like she tried to play it off as a long lunch break, but I know better. I missed an entire hour, when I was only scheduled for four.

It just doesn't sound right to me.

It is however, legal.
