My suggestion is for you to contact the agency and request a release be issued to your employer. Many times they can fax a copy the same day or mail within a week. If your debt is truly fully settled, it should not be an issue to get a release letter. montana girl 01-01-2007, 10:57 AM I ask this question because the collection agency is saying that every check we sent them for the last four months I owe 75.00 on each one as a collection fee so in other words it will be a very long time before I would have them paid off. robb71 01-01-2007, 10:59 AM Have you settled the debt or not? montana girl 01-01-2007, 11:05 AM The court order was for 1,078.00 and I have paid that. The original debt was for 400.00 but with atty fees and interest and collection fees it obviously went up. robb71 01-01-2007, 11:10 AM If the debt is 100% settled, you should have no problem getting a release issued on the garnishment. |
