I recently found out that my boss (the company CEO) was talking about me and a specific work related issue to an individual not associated with our company. Basically, it was gossip. He specificaly told this individual about my salary, stock options being offered to me, and my year-end bonus, among other things. All which I consider private and confidential information. Are there privacy laws that protect me from having my personal business dicussed outside the company over happy hour beers?

Sorry, no. The only thing that is privileged is any medical information he has about you that he learned through the insurance relationship. He can tell anyone he wants to anything else.
