Can a company require you to show ID to pick up a pay check? If so, then if you cant show ID or you forget it , is the company allowed to withhold your check????

The employer is certainly within its rights to require an ID to pick up your check; this is to protect both them AND you. Rather than try to determine whether or not they can hold you check if you don't produce one, why don't you work on getting one? Can't you get some type of government-issued ID? If not a driver's license, then a state ID card?
