I have a friend who was injured about 5 years ago in a car accident. He had a fairly serious back injury that still bothers him today. The insurance company paid for all of his medical bills and the woman who was driving turned out to be prescribed some serious medications on a daily basis as a result of another car accident she was in prior. He contacted a lawyer who told him he had a case. The lawyer sent some correspondence to the insurance company but then my friend said he never really heard back from his lawyer. He has since tried to collect on some lingering medical bills and has been denied. He told me that he just didn't think that he was entitled to anything. I told him that in most cases an injured person usually recieves some sort of settlement if they have a decent lawyer. What do you think?
