I was working at my job for 2 1/2 years in Michigan. They fired me, but say that they dont owe me any vacation time. I have used my vacation time up for the current year, but I was under the impression that I would get a pro-rated version of it, since you work one year for your vaction for the next. My vacation would have reset in Feburary, giving me 10 paid vacation days. Since I have worked 9 of the 12 months until my vacation am I entitled to 75% of my vacation? In my opinion I should recieve at least 7 paid vacation days. Do I have a point or am I way off base here?

It's entirely up to your employer's policy. The law in Michigan does not require the unconditional payout of vacation. Unused vacation only has to be paid out if there is a written policy to that effect.
