Can an employer mandate a lunch period longer than 30 minutes?

Our company requires that all employees clock out for an hour lunch break and cannot take a shorter lunch in order to leave early.

I don't know how many times this question has been answered. Yes, an employer may mandate a lunch break of longer than required by law. Nor do they have any legal obligation to allow anyone to leave early.
