My Husband Worked For A Company As An Installer. He Got Paid By The Job. They Suddenly Started Claiming That "no Pay" Jobs Were Affecting His Pay. What This Means Is That He Didnt Get Paid For The Job For A Piece Of Paperwork That Was Missing, Or That The Pictures Of The Complted Job Were Lost By The Company. I Can Account For Nearly 30 "jobs" He Completed With No Complaints From The Customer And He Has Not Been Paid For. Is There A Law That Can Be Used To Force Them To Pay Him, Even If Its At A Reduced Rate, Or An Hourly Rate. He Was Required To Check In And Check Out At Every Job Through The Company Operators, And They Should Have Record Of The Time Spent On These Jobs. What Can I Do To Get Them To Pay Up?

YOU can do nothing. This is your husband's fight and only he can do anything about it. No one has any obligation to talk to you about it.

If he feels he has not been paid properly, he can contact the state DOL if he is an employee, or file a civil suit if he is an independent contractor.

For the future, please do not capitalize each word. It makes your post very hard to read.

Please see my last response in this thread, which explains how task-based pay must be calculated, if the worker is an employee. It sounds like a similar situation. In your husband's case, again, if an employee and not an independent contractor, the state agency to contact would be the Texas Workforce Commission.

And I reiterate the capitalizing every word comment. I almost didn't respond to this at all because it's VERY hard to read.
