My husband and I are seeking custody of his children,both middle teens...the youngest has already signed the papers requesting to live with us...his mother is abusive and we have police reports stating this ...what issues could we face? She has always found herself to be above the law and lie with absolutly no remorse.... If we get one child and she has the other child support issues will there be...Her parents have stated that neither child will be able to live with her again...the oldest is very close to his grandfather and may choose to live with them...do my husbands rights superceed (sp)theirs...all we want is what is best for the kids...the grandparents (her parents) are decent people.
