Is there an employment law in Texas that states what an employer is/is not allowed to ask another employer when verifying past employment? I have searched DOL and can't find anything specific.

That would be because there is not a law that covers this.

In all 50 states, an employer may provide any information that is true, that they have a good faith belief is true, or that represents their honest and supportable opinion.
