I work for a compnay out of Mississippi and they are threating to cut my pay in half, saying that I am taking care of too many problems and not selling enough. I am an outsode sales rep who has been paid a flat amount each month for the past 6 months. Although they say it's not a salary or commission.....but will not say what it is.

Can they do so and keep me in the same job? By the way, I have never recieved anything saying what happens if my territory drops below a certain dollar amount or % of growth. Nor have I ever recieved anything saying if we are paid for holidays, have sick days or vacation days. As well as anything that goes over our pay schedual or anything pertaining to it. Any advice would be helpfull.

Thanks!

You are probably on commission.

Even if you aren't, the company is not required to pay you vacation, holiday or sick time.

The monthly pay you have been receiving is probably a draw against commission.

The company can change the pay structure at any time (a true statement for any company but those restricted by some contract or collective bargaining agreement).

You can accept it or move on to some place else.

I suggest you consider the latter option.
