I Work For A Small Vacation Rental Property And I Just Told My Company That I Am 6 Weeks Pregnant. I Need To Know If A Company Is Required To Pay An Employee When They Leave Or If I Just Get The Leave With No Pay. What Is The Maternity Law?
The only state that ever requires paid leave is California. In all other states, including Hawaii, you only get paid leave if your employer chooses to offer it.
Hawaii is, however, one of only five states with a mandatory disability requirement. So even if your employer opts for unpaid leave (which is FAR more likely than paid leave) you will be able to file for disability benefits.
In future, please do not capitalize each word which makes your post very hard to read.
