Hi:
Just moved to Nevada from California. I didn't know if this fits here. I know there is a law in California for a company to provide a place for pumping breastmilk while at work. Does anyone know what the law is in Nevada? I have a 4 month old and I still need to breasfeed him, therefore I need to pump breastmilk during my break. I am waiting for HR to get back to me, but I thought I would ask here as well.
Thank you
Jen
I see where Nevada law gives you the right to breastfeed anywhere you are authorized to be, which would include your workplace, but nothing about your employer being required to provide you with a place to do so.

Thank you,
I know about being able to breastfeed, but there is a law in California where it is required for an employer to provide a place for a mother to use a breastpump to extract milk. A private and clean place besides a bathroom. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is something similar for Nevada?
No. There is no such law in Nevada.
As I already pointed out.

Sorry, Ca is ahead of the curve on that one. But I had to step in to give you a pat on the back for keeping up with the pumping.
There are other states besides CA which have such a requirement; it's just that Nevada doesn't happen to be one of them.

Thank you Megan!
I'ts been a challenge to tell you the truth... that kid better be nice!...lol
Just an update - I am having to pump in the bathroom, although it is a private, one bathroom room, it is not quite the same as I was use to in California!...
There are currently about five other women that are pregnant so the HR Director knows it will be an issue, they are trying to find something to accomodate me and all the other women who will go through this in a few months.
Thank you for your help!
