I recently was orderd by my doctor to take two days off for medical reasons and needing testing at the hospital. I turned in dr.s notes and copies of scripts to them for verification that i needed the time off. I was ridiculed and harrased about this matter. The following week i had another appt. on thurs. mid-morning for some follow-up testing and to get my test results back at that time. I had informed my manager of the time needed on Mon. late afternoon. He had said that there was no one to cover for me and I was not to go. I had given him a 36 hour notice which I thought was sufficient enough only to come into the office on friday and get written up for taking the time off. Is this right?? Please help

It may or may not be "right" but it is legal.
