Thanks, Tim shaikhmohdmusa 03-31-2005, 06:23 AM I Works Within The Office, I Encountered this Static Shock (mild Electric Shock) whenever I touch the (Steel) Filling Cabinet, Door Frames, The Management Seems not bothering of situations, its Seems Normal to them. Do I Have the right, for Reporting To Osha, what is The Role Of Osha,in such situations.. LConnell 03-31-2005, 08:09 AM You always have the right to file a complaint with OSHA. However, I always advise employees to pursue resolution internally, such as through their management or to the HR Department. If you don't feel that they are responsive, you can complain to OSHA. Their website is at: www.osha.com (http://www.osha.com). shaikhmohdmusa 04-05-2005, 04:55 AM I DECIDED TO INVESTIGATE,LIKELY COULD BE STATIC SHOCK,BYMOVING THE CABINETS, HOPING TO REVEAL ANY ABNORMALITY OF WIRING LEAKAGE OR CUTS,DAMAGES,BUT NONE. I BELIEVED THAT ELECTRICITY DOESNT TRAVELS WITHIN AIR.. how does this static shock occurs? how to avoided of being occurrence? LConnell 04-05-2005, 09:34 AM I found the following site on the Internet: http://forum.thomson.com.au/read/messages?id=12442 It discusses how to avoid static shock. (For the most part, the article says that the static shock can be alleviated by adding moisture in the air.) While it is not practical for you to throw buckets of water across the floor or to ask for a office fishtank, one of the things that you may be able to do is get one of those small desktop water fountains. It may add enough humidity around your desk to minimize the electric shocks you are experiencing. |
