Making a long long story short.....

Grandma is manipulative. Grandma is not welcome to see our children at the moment. Can Grandma sue to get visitation?

thanks

In Illinois, a GP can sue for visitation in the case of the death of their child (the parent), in a case of divorce, or if the parents of the child were never married. The GPs don't have grounds to sue because the parents decided to limit or end visitation because of the GP's behavior.

The grandparent would also have to show that it is in the child's best interest for a court to order visitation over the parents' wishes.
