I have a family member being accused at work for altering medical records when she wasn't even at work. She took a Thursday and Friday off with her regular weekend off and during that time, a patient's family requested a copy of the medical records and noticed dicrepancies and filed a formal complaint. During that time the patient's medical records were "corrected" during my family member's day offs and she is being accused of altering the records. She has been threatened with termination over and over again and is emotionally distressed. Is there anything she can do?

She can cooperate fully with any investigation that takes place.

It is not illegal to threaten termination.
