I am a Fed Govt employee. I am working 6 12 hr shifts 6P.M.-6:30A.M. that i volunteered for all of the sudden they cut out our comp-time and said were on mandatory ot. no ot rosters, no time toward retirement just 68 hours of paycheck rape. can they do this? Actually they do this often and allow some people to run CT under the table and some not. and 1 day be on and 1 day be off. LEGAL???????? We need help, yes we have a union yes they side with mgt even though union book says diff. Oh they also let me work 24 hr ot on light duty. after cancer surgery.

I'm not seeing any problem in the law here, as long as they are paying you for the overtime in your paycheck. They don't HAVE to offer comp time in lieu of overtime pay, they just MAY (as a government employer).
So, can you complain to the union president? After all, you vote him/her in and out. What does the contract say about the offering of overtime and whether or not overtime is credited toward retirement? (I'm in government, too, and none of our union contracts require OT be credited toward hours or pay for purposes of retirement). See, this is all a matter of the contract, not wage and hour law.
BTW, using the word "rape" in this context is offensive and honestly, makes me angry.
