My employer made me get on it when I was put on bed rest at the beginning of my pregnancy, but counted that as an absence instead of putting it towards my FMLA so that is why I was on intermident FMLA but have not used any of it, so by law I am requried to be given the fulll 12 weeks of my direct FMLA correct. The reason they counted it as an absence is because my Manger didnt know she could put it towards my FMLA and so I got written up for that absence and that absence went towards my evaluation so then I got put on intermident FMLA per my HR department and was asked if I wanted the bed rest to be covered by FMLA and I said no because I had already gotten written up for it and my evaluation went down in points because of it so she said, Imsorry that happed to you, we will make the intermident FMLA effective today. I havent used any of it so dont I get the full 12 weeks of my FMLA to bond with the baby? Thanks for your help..
