CT goes by weekly to calculate OT rather than daily. So according to Section 31-76c, if you're working more than 40 hours in a work week, then you are entitled to overtime. Not sure about the other states... I'd have to get back to you on that one.

I can't seem to find anything for NY, but then again, I'm kind of in a hurry... sorry. You can try searching their Department of Labor website if no one can help you on here.

Here are the exceptions to OT in CT--I forgot to list them before:

You would get OT in MA if you work over 40hours in one work week, however under Chapter 151, section 1A in MA state law, you do not get OT if you are:

(8) as a driver or helper on a truck with respect to whom the Interstate Commerce Commission has power to establish qualifications and maximum hours of service pursuant to the provisions of section two hundred and four of the motor carrier act of nineteen hundred and thirty-five, or as employee of an employer subject to the provisions of Part 1 of the Interstate Commerce Act or subject to title II of the Railway Labor Act.

As you drive a gas truck, I'm not sure if you fall into this or not.

I hope this helps you a little bit, and I hope someone else jumps in to help answer your questions as well.

And I believe the federal DOT sets the minimum at 60 hours per week, but I admit DOT regulations are not my area of expertise. However, I think they would apply if nothing else does, since the OP drives interstate.
