I work at a company where sick time is earned at 6 month of employment. I am one month shy of it. I am an hourly employee. I was out sick one day and did not make up the time hence I got paid only 32 hours and not the regular 40. I find out the 8 hours missed has also been taken from future sick time that I am not yet entitled to. In addition any appointment I had were deducted from future vacation time - even if I made up the time. I feel that if the owner is going to doc me the time I should recieve the pay even if I don't have my 6 months yet.
(A side from getting the heck out of this company) Is there anything I can do at this point?

Sorry, but since they have no legal obligation to provide you with paid sick time in the first place, they can make the rules as to how it is used and how it is accrued.

I agree it's not the best arrangement but it's not illegal.

The company set the rules on when you earned the time off. You fell a little short of that when you needed the time. The company is not obligated to bend its rules to accomodate you.
