What's the best way to find a medical malpractice attorney and when do you need to file? We don't know how to find a good attorney and the initial surgery date was 12/06. Have we run out of time? In addition, the Doctor was chosen by Workman's Comp not us.

Medical malpractice actions must be commenced within 3 years from the date of the injury, or one year from the date the plaintiff discovers or reasonably should have discovered the injury, whichever occurs first. Cal. Civ. Proc. Code § 340.5

Thanks for the info BSPCPA. One more question. Where would be a good place to start looking for a med. mal. attorney in Los Angeles?
