Buyer tore house down while in foreclosure Montana

The buyers never completed the down payment when the 1st lawyer filed the contract. He was supposed to wait til I have the full down payment.
The buyers never made any attempt to make payments. I got another lawyer to do a forecloser.
The lawyer let the paperwork set on his deck for 6 months til after the buyers had tore down the house and sold the logs of the house. Once I got a call saying the house had been torn down the lawyer sent out a letter to them. The buyers disappeared and have not been able to find them sence.
Lawyer never completed the forecolsure, only called me back once to ask for more money. For 8 years now I have been trying to get the property back in my name. I have contacted several lawyers and never could get any answers back. I have been keeping up on the property taxes. Just have no clue as to what to do to get this back in my name.
