I am a heart transplant patient on SS Disability. My girlfriend (of 30 years) and I are constructing a new house. She got a bridge loan on her existing home (that home is entirely hers) to help finance the new home. When we got the construction loan for the new house I had to sign the loan and was put on the deed. My health is not that good and should it fail I could be exposed to lawsuits from hospitals, etc. Is there any agreement that I could sign to give her 100% ownership in the new house. I don't mind being on the mortgage.....I just want to protect her from any future lawsuits against me. HELP....house is almost finished.
