Are there any state benefits that you can obtain in addition to the partial disability the employer offers? I am taking 12 weeks FMLA and will only be paid for part of that time via my employers disability insurance. Tx!

Nope. Only 5 states have mandatory disability insurance and even in those 5, you wouldn't receive your full salary.

So there isn't any ss benefits or anything else available other than what my employer offers?

Nope. The employer doesn't even need to offer a disability policy in PA.

that is correct...my company has an acrual STD policy...and if you have only worked here 1 year...you have 7 days of STD to use for maternity leave, they don't offer anything else. You are welcome to take the full 12 weeks using FMLA, but you get no pay. Check to see if your company offers a supplemental policy.
Sorry, but we can't make direct referrals here for liability reasons.
In any case, if the poster already qualifies for FMLA, a newly purchased policy would consider the condition pre-existing and nothing at all would be paid.
