 I moved to Oregon so i could have visitation with my daughter who is 9 when i moved i had a verbal agreament that i would have a job waiting. when i arrived the job was not available and the new employer even denyed even knowing who or what i was talking about when i had applyed to Kansas for unemployment benifits and when they had contacted them. so i was denyed benefits due to not having a good enough reason for leaving my job .... what can i do ?

Rule of thumb; don't depend on verbal agreements. You may have had a "verbal agreement" with someone but that doesn't mean they were authorized to offer you a job. Don't quit your job if you don't have something IN WRITING, preferably on company letterhead signed by HR or someone in upper management, that confirms it.

In general, quitting for family reasons is not considered a qualifying reason for unemployment. I'm sorry, but it's unlikely the state will overturn the decision on appeal.

If leaving a job for family reasons is not good enough ... even when those reasons are me complying with an Oregon decree that i have to live in the state for me to see my daughter then what can i do otherwise ... i have been looking for employment with no luck so far .. and my funds are almost depleated... :(

Since your employer pays for UC, there are only a few reasons that qualify you for such benefits and they in essence require that your employer have some role of fault in your termination of employment. Your child living in another state has nothing to do with your employer.

A "good reason to quit" is not necessarily the same as "good cause to quit" for unemployment reasons. Your employer is not responsible for the fact that you have to live in another state for custody reasons. Since there's no fault on the part of your employer, it is highly unlikely that you will qualify for unemployment.
