Can a supervisor ORDER you to work on your 1 day off?

Of course!

No law prohibits this. Your work schedule is entirely to the discretion of your boss. This includes last minute changes and requirements of working on your days off.

Barring an enforceable employment contract or collective bargaining agreement which state otherwise, you have not described anything remotely unlawful.

You may not like it; but your boss may require this.

Is there a certain amount of minimum notice they have to give you?

This post is from over a year ago. But no, there is no specific notice required.
