I work for a small company and our married boss is sleeping with one of the employees. Everyone in the office knows it, except for them. This is causing quite a bit of gossip and she is influencing him on business matters including hiring & firings. It has createdan extreme amount of tension here, is there any worry that someone could sue for hostile workplace or anything else due to this? She is known for having full blown tantrums in the middle of the office & he defends her every move.

They don't know they are sleeping with each other? ;)
The boss is making a mistake, but I know of only one sexual harassment case where women NOT sleeping with the boss made their case successfully.
And that case was not in Minnesota.

Perhaps someone should take the boss aside and clue him in that everyone knows. Preferably either his boss or someone on a peer level.
You probably don't have to worry about a hostile environment as the law defines it, but this woman acting like a 2 year old is going to get old fast.

Is this guy THE boss? If not, then you or someone else may wish to clue the top boss into the problems their relationship is causing in the office. If this is the top guy or the big boss already knows and isn't doing anything about it, then I suggest you start looking for a new job.
