I was working with a company and although I no longer work for this company. There was an incident that happened that I was upset about and wonder how i should continue to approach it .

We were informed that there would be test administired and would have to be passed in order to complete a segment of your job duties.

well i took a portion of the test and did not pass by 3pts. although i did not know this until a co-worker of mine informed me of this in confidence and she told me that our manager was the one who relayed the information to her. The scores are confidential that is why they send it to managers only and not peers.

she asked me not to tell him that she was the one that told me because she would get in trouble just as he would.

i have spoken with employee relations since i left and disclosed this information to them and they want to open a case, i was embarassed and upset because he told her(a peer) before he disclosed this information to me, and i wonder if that was all that was discussed.

What is your question?

Is it unprofession to discuss such things with other employees? Sure. Is it illegal? No.

Your old office is going to open a case to find out what happened and they will deal with it in a way they deem proper.

Either way, nothing effects you.
