As a volunteer firefighter, my employer requires me to use vacation or personal time for any time missed (I am exempt) in the office. Is there a law on the books that prevents this activity (or anything pending in PA legislature)?

There is nothing in the law of any state prohibiting an employer from requiring you to use vacation time for absences from the office.

If there is anything addressing this in the legislation of any state, including PA, I can't find a reference to it.
