I'm appealing a decision in a move-away case (mother wants to move with children out of the country), and have some questions regarding filing a notice of appeal. When I file a notice of appeal, do I automatically get a 30 day stay on the existing order? If so, when does that 30 days start: from date of the last order before reconsideration was granted; from the date reconsideration was heard and the judge upheld his previous decision (with modifications); or from the date the notice of appeal is filed?
