Questions pertaining to California Family Law and the stepparent.
I believe my daughter’s stepmother over steps her bounds. I think it is great that she wants to help in my daughter’s classroom, but it comes down to what extent or how far. In the past she has taken information given to her by the teacher and either consciously or sub-consciously misconstrued the information to my daughter’s father. I have written a letter to the father and her on this and got no response. Now we are at the point of field trips and unfortunately the father does not want to go, but the step mother does…… Does anyone know if there is a law pertaining to public school's and the stepparent. Are there any rights the stepparent has to the stepchild and how involved in the public school system can they get. (PS this person does not have any kids, but mine)
