Hi, I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this question, so I am sorry if this is not the right place. But here it goes...

We have four people living in our apartment and we have agreed verbaly that we will live in it for four more months. We did not sign any contract with the landowner (but he knows this) since we are going month by month. However two of the member recently argued and one of them decides to move out and is not willing to pay the remainding 3 months rent. My question is, is that valid? Can the person who is moving out not pay? Is there anything I can do so that he must finish paying the rent that he is responsible for? What should I do?

Thank you.

Thank you.

For the sake of peace in the house, say "goodby" to the arguements, and pay 1/3 more. Verbal agreements are hard to enforce.

I agree, since there is nothing on paper, I highly doubt that there is anything you can do. So sorry!
