idk if this is right or not but my step mom works at the court house and she has the right to look at our child support and my dad is going to adopt her kids but if he does we get less child support do you think that my step mpm has the right to look at our child support

The fact that your father adopts additional children does not impact the CS he owes you.

Umm, and if she is married to your father, I'm pretty sure she already has open access to all of the information she wants. All she has to do is talk to your dad. What difference does it make?

Civil court filings, including family court and CS, are public record. ANYONE who wishes may view the files.

That is not always true. Some judges will deviate from an order because of having additional children.

That is true, however as others pointed out the fact SM works at the courthouse won't have any impact!

I am sorry but that is not true. Some states do determine support amounts based on the amount of children being supported in his/her household.

I really don't think that she has to look at your support. She is married to your father. I think she already know how much you are getting.

LOL- good point, I really didn't notice that it's the poster's STEP MOM who works at the courthouse.

Would the father not have to file to have support modified once he adopted? It would not just lower the current cs? Therefore if he does not file to modify, then cs would stay the same. Correct or incorrect. I think that is right but not sure.

Yeah he would have to file to modify...or if the mother filed to modified (to increase at some point) it would be considered.
