Ifthe NCP files for bankruptcy, will it affect what he pays for child support?
It shouldn't. CS arrearages cannot be discharged in a bankruptcy. If the NCP is filing a chapter 13 the CS will be figured into the amount to be paid.
The CP needs to keep track of progress of NCP's bankruptcy and appear at the hearings as a creditor to make sure that the debt (CS) is allocated.
