Does anyone know if there are any services out there that will assist the father in getting visitation rights ordered? My husband is paying child support for two children that we never see. Attorney costs are so much, that it is difficult for us to get one. We are raising four kids of our own, too. Are there rights for the father if no visitation and/or custody orders written?

Well you could go down where child support order is through and file a petition for visitation. I Know here in Michigan it cost $100.00 To get started. If you would like to see the kids I suggest you go down today and start. It could be a long process.

Your husband can file for visitation himself (pro-se) by going to the courthouse and getting the forms to file. He'll also need to read up on your state's laws and court rules, a good place to start to find them is www.govengine.com.
If he doesn't want to go pro-se he can get a consult with an attorney by calling your local Bar Association. Sometimes the law library or court clerk will have a list of attorneys doing pro bono work or ones that will let you make payments.
