My brother is a firefighter in our small town.. I am a firefighter as well but in a district over an hour away. My brother's department is hiring but says I need not even apply for brothers cant work together. Is this a legal practice? There are 3 seperate 24 hour shifts so we would not even be working together. IT just didnt seem right to me so maybe someone here is familiar.
Thanks
J.

I know many companies avoid hiring family members. It is just not worth the hassle the first time a nepotism charge gets bantied around.

And to answer the original question, yes, it is legal.
