I worked in a very unfriendly restruant, I found a different Job, I gave my 2 weeks noticed to a manager, She didnt bother to tell any of the other Managers, The one manager got mad at me because I was leaving she fired me, Or at least I think I was fired, I was told after she found out I was leaving 4 days later to clean out my locker and turn in my keys in, I did not do anything to this person to make her tell me this, Can she do this and not pay me for my full 2 weeks.

"At-will employment" means that you can quit at any time for any reason, and the employer can discharge you at any time for any reason which does not violate the law. This does not.

The employer is not required to pay out your notice. The only pay that is legally due you is for what you actually worked.

You may be eligible to collect unemployment for the two (2) weeks or so that you were not permitted to work.

I cannot recall whether or not NE has a one (1) week waiting period, but it costs nothing to file.
