My husband and me got married 4 years. My husband has a house before we get marry. He then sold the house and use the money to bought this house during our marrige. But when the moment we're getting this house, he asked me to sign a "quit claim deed"(as I recall, it's from the escrow company) before he get a loan for the balance of this house. He explain to me it is request by the loan company.(His ex-girlfriend company) He said, it's because I'm a housewife only, no credit score. So, in order to get a loan, I have to sign that. Otherwise, they won't approve the loan. So, I signed and a man from the loan company came to our home to notarize the "quit claim deed".
Now I'm visiting my family in overseas. When I called him, he mistaken I'm a girl from internet he's been chatting with. I'm very upset. Now, he told me just stay right here and don't come back. He wants to separate with me but he said he doesn't want to file divorce. My question is : Am I have any share of this house after I signed that "quit claim deed", is this house suppose a community or separate property because he use the money from the old house to pay for the new house? Or what I suppose to ask for if we getting divorce? Sorry for so many question and long story but I really need help. Thank you so much for any information.
