I am being solicited by a brokerage that has very strict language in their agent agreement. specifically stating that after termination, there be no solicitation of any kind, to any one in their client database. (they've been in biz many years and cover several areas--including where I live and work presently.)
the agreement goes on to state that if anyone out of the database selects to do business with me, then a referral fee is owed of 50%, with no end date.
I have no intent to rip off these people, however if I stay in the area and biz, it is highly likely we will cross paths.
any experience or perspective on this? I am admittedly cautious and a little paranoid since such severe restrictions could impact the rest of my R.E. career.
