Hi,
I was just hired this week by a company who is contracting my services out to a client of ours. I was hired as a manager. As a result, I decided to leave a job in NJ, and I moved down to Florida. The job I had in NJ was an hourly pay job at $54/hr, whereas the job here in Florida is $55/hr S.O.W. (which basically means I get paid for only 40 hours a week). I accepted this position despite the fact that I would not get paid for the extra hours over 40 that I worked simply because it offered career growth (as I would be the manager).
So I started this job, and I have been emailing people throughout the client stating that I am the manager. Today, I received an email reply from the client director stating that I am not approved to use the title of manager, nor was I hired for the manager position. However, my consulting company has hired me as the manager (and even placed this role within my contract).
I left a newly purchased home in NJ, along with the other job (which I had to resign from immediately and without notice in order to start this position).
Is there anything that I can do about this?
Thanks.
