I recently worked for a mortgage company. I worked on a very time consuming deal and it finally closed after 2 months. I had some financial problems so I had to work several jobs at once. Becuase of my time constraints my employer and I decided that I resign. When I arrived at the office to pick up my things everything was in a box.

I returned to pick up my paycheck 2 weeks later and half of my commission was missing. My managers explanation was she gave half of my commission to another loan officer who she claims did half of my work.

I never received anything in writing stating she would give another loan officer half of my commission and I never authorized any loan officer to do work on my loan, nor do I recall any loan officer other than myself working on my loan. I asked a loan officer who was laosian to translate the title fee's to the seller of the house home who is not even my client. He translated for about 45 mins and he never asked for any compensation for doing so and I never agreed to give him any. But he received half of my commission?????

I tried contacting him to see if it is true and he is not returning my call. I filed a civil suit against him, the company and my managers for making an unatuthorized deduction from my paycheck?

Is there anything else I can do??? My clients feel really bad as well because the commission I am paid comes out of their pockets and they believe I worked hard and I deserve it.
